Which course?

Argentine Tango Beginners, 4 weeks, $50

Tango is based on a unique, non-verbal method of communicating with your partner. Learning Tango is about learning a new way of communication.

It is not about memorising long sequences of steps.

Instead, as a man/leader you will learn how to invite your partner to move in any direction you like - without pushing or pulling. You will also learn the most common concepts in Argentine Tango that allow you to do "ochos", "changes in direction", "giros" and more.

Ladies you will discover how to recognise the man's signals. You will also start preparing your body (posture, balance) and mind (to wait & listen not to anticipate)

At the end of the 4weeks beginners course all dancers will have a basic understanding of the magical, force-less leading and following technique that makes Tango so unique, powerful and sensual.

You will be able to enjoy dancing with most people even if they learned Tango in another city or country!

After the class we recommend to stay (for up to 3 hrs) and practise with different dancers at different levels at no extra cost.

Even if you have only 15min extra practicing time after class you will experience signficantly faster progress and joy of learning compared to those who did not practice.

Non beginners at any level are welcome to join this course on a drop in bases for free. Dancing with less experienced dancers will challenge and improve your dance skills considerably, get you warmed up for the intermediate class and is social and fun.

Depending how much you practice - this course is likely to get you to do the drop in int/advanced classes. However, if you feel you are not ready for the next level yet, you can do the course again half price.

Salsa & Latin Beginners, 4 weeks, $50

This course is great for everyone curious to try out all the most popular Latin dances (LA & Cuban Salsa, Merengue, Argentine Tango). You will learn the basics of all three dances which come in handy at any party or night club.

Salsa and Merengue will make your hips move and learn how to turn - especially the ladies. Argentine Tango technique will allow maximum comfort, balance and a good connection with your partner and the music which is a big plus in any dance.

The course also includes up to 2 hrs of practice opportunities after class.

After this course you will feel and look more comfortable in any dance situation compared to your friends who have never had any classes...

If you want to take your Salsa to the next level you can either do the same course again (more experienced dancers will always learn something new) or ask us about the next higher level Salsa classes which can be organised depending on demand (min 3 couples, $10/person/hour).

Fast track Latin Dance Package, 4wks,$80

We keep getting phone calls by people who like to commit to take a class at least twice per week. They like to accellerate their learning experience or simply enjoy an additional entertaining class or social practice.

This course is doing exactly that and even brings the cost/class down by 20%.

Classes will be on twice a week followed by practicing opportunities on both days. The course will cover the same content as "Argentine Tango Beginners" and "Salsa & Latin Beginners" together.

We recommend this course especially for dancers who are faster or slower than average learners. Fast learners will find more opportunities to expand their dancing while slower learners will get more practice.

Whether you learn to dance, a new language or martial arts - you will find that experienced learners recommend taking classes at least twice a week as many people forget some things in a week - especially if they don't practice.

Tango Intermediate/Adv drop-in classes

This course is great for anyone who is comfortable with the basic Tango technique and navigation - in particular walking with the music in any direction, ochos, giros and open embrace dancing and has already some social dance experience e.g. in our practica.

Over time we cover all intermediate and advanced concepts of both traditional Tango and Tango Nuevo: boleos, sacadas, ganchos, barridas, leg wraps as well as tilted axis moves (colgadas, volcadas) and musicality training including syncopation (traspie variations).

The goal of this course is to make you a comfortable, musical and creative - or in other words "a popular" - tango dancer.

We try to taylor our intermediate classes to the current needs of our students. If you are interested in learning something particular, let us know and we may be able to make it a class theme soon.

You do not need to book this course - simply come when you have time. Of course you could also just come to the practicas without taking classes - like anyone, at any level.
